Exciting news! This year, I was asked to participate in Home Depot’s Style Challenge- Patio Edition. I have loved following along in years past, and have always secretly planned what I would do to my patio given the opportunity!
Fast forward to this year, and moving to a one-bedroom apartment. If we only have one bedroom, we most certainly do not have a patio (I wish!). BUT! We do have a sunroom. A sunroom that functions as a makeshift office for me at the moment. I have always wanted to create a separate sitting area that’s not the living room (there aren’t many choices of places to sit), and the view in here is pretty. It makes you feel like you’re “outside”, albeit on the sixth floor. While it makes more sense long-term to create a permanent office for me in here, I jumped at the chance to create an indoor space that might serve as some inspiration for any city dwellers out there. So, instead of creating an outdoor patio, I will be creating an indoor sunroom! Here’s a reminder of what the space looked like before:
I have already started a few projects in here, and I am so excited to share! It’s proven to be a little difficult to think of projects that work for indoor spaces, but I think I came up with some great ideas! Here’s what I’m looking at, inspiration-wise.
Definitely need some citrus trees.
There is a weird window situation going on in the sunroom, so I’m thinking about doing a layered but breezy look like this for window dressings.
Color, color, color!
And to give it that outdoor feel, definitely string lights.
I’m working on a project similar to this…it’s my favorite!
I’m so excited to share my progress with you! There are sure to be sneak peek on Instagram, so make sure you’re following along HERE.
